  • Access training and capacity-building supports
  • Transition from school or Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE) to open employment

It’s a category of Capacity Building support in your NDIS plan designed to help people with disability become job-ready, find suitable employment, and receive ongoing workplace support. 

No. You don’t need to already be working. This support helps you prepare for employment- even if you’re still in school or haven’t worked before. 

That depends on your interests, skills, and goals. We’ll work with you to explore all your options, including part-time, full-time, casual, or supported work opportunities. 

Absolutely. We can support you with school leaver employment transition (SLES), job readiness training, and work experience placements. 

No referral is needed. If “Finding and Keeping a Job” is in your NDIS plan, you can contact us directly to get started. 

You can speak with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC), your NDIS Planner, or your coordinator of supports. We can also help guide you through the process.

This support category sits within the Capacity Building budget of your NDIS plan and includes services not available through mainstream programs. It’s designed to help you prepare for, find, and maintain work. Depending on your needs, support may include 

  • Career exploration and planning 
  • Work experience or volunteering 
  • On-the-job training and ongoing workplace support 
  • Skills assessments and job-matching 
  • Training for teachers, employers, and coworkers about your needs 
  • Assistance with travel, communication, or personal care 
  • Adaptive equipment and workplace modifications 
  • Support for transitioning from school or other services to open employment 

We work closely with you, your support network, your Local Area Coordinator (LAC), and NDIS planner to coordinate the right mix of supports.
